Romain Dumas keeps Audi on top in final practice for Sebring 12 Hours

Romain Dumas ended up fastest in the only one of the three R18 TDIs to take to the track in the fourth session. The other two R18s had completed their test programmes ahead of Friday afternoon's qualifying session for the FIA World Endurance Championship opener and did not run.

Dumas set a best time of 1m48.200s, which was more than 1.5s up on the second-placed OAK Pescarolo-Judd driven by Guillaume Moreau. Third fastest, a further 0.2s behind, was the best of the Rebellion Lola-Toyotas in the hands of Andrea Belicchi.

Two HPDs ended up fourth and fifth. Pickett Racing driver Lucas Luhr was just over 0.1s up on sportscar newcomer Karun Chandhok in the JRM entry.

The LMP2 times were led by OAK's Morgan-Judd. Olivier Pla set the best time of 1m51.318s, which was 0.5s up on the Starworks HPD driven by Stephane Sarrazin.

Richard Lietz jumped to the head of the GT order in the dying seconds in the best of the Felbermayr-Proton Porsches. His 1m59.987s lap put him 0.2s ahead of Jaime Melo in the Luxury Racing Ferrari.
