Gutierrez edges van der Garde and Chilton on day two at Catalunya
Esteban Gutierrez topped the timesheets following the second day of GP2 pre-season testing at Catalunya
Just eight thousandths of a second covered the top three at the day's close, with Gutierrez putting Lotus GP on top with a 1m28.740s.
Caterham's Giedo van der Garde finished second fastest, his effort in the middle of the morning demoting Carlin's Max Chilton to third.
DAMS' Davide Valsecchi was the only other driver to dip below the 1m29s barrier and consequently ended the day fourth fastest, still within five hundredths of Gutierrez's best.
Stefano Coletti was next up for Scuderia Coloni, ahead of Arden's Luiz Razia, Gutierrez's Lotus team-mate and 2011 GP3 runner-up James Calado and day one's surprise pacesetter Fabrizio Crestani (Venezuela GP Lazarus).
Jolyon Palmer (iSport) and Coloni's Fabio Onidi rounded out the top ten.
