Barrichello: 'I could have done better'
Rubens Barrichello continued his bit-part role in the battle for the world championship as he finished fourth in the European Grand Prix.
The Ferrari number two qualified fourth and that was where he finished after a topsy-turvey 67-laps of the Nurburgring.
The team gambled on a three-stop strategy after he lost ground at the start, and in the end he salvaged three points.
"I am disappointed because I could have done better than fourth," saidBarrichello. "Three-stops was definitely the way to make up lost time, but it was very difficult to overtake other cars in the spray.
"I have been looking forward to a close fought-race for some time now, and maybe I should have been on the podium today."
Team boss Jean Todt said: "Overtaking must have been very difficult in those conditions and considering that this was a great drive to get fourth."
Barrichello is now a distant fourth in the championship with 16 points, while Coulthard has 24, Hakkinen 28 and his team-mate Schumacher 46.
