Bianchi takes dominant fifth '09 win

Jules Bianchi put in a dominant performance at Oschersleben to take his fifth F3 Euro Series victory of the season on Saturday

The championship leader cruised away at the front after making a good start, and his eventual winning margin over team-mate Valtteri Bottas was 10 seconds.

Behind the ART pairing, Roberto Merhi took a lonely third place. The Spaniard's only drama came on lap 10, when he went off on the exit of the chicane after Bottas had made a similar error.

However, even that slight mistake wasn't enough to enable Christian Vietoris to close up, and the German's fourth place means he has lost even more ground to Bianchi in the championship.

Alexander Sims followed his Mucke team-mate home to take fifth place, with a good start being key to him vaulting up from seventh on the grid, while Jean Karl Vernay completed the top six.

Former championship leader Stefano Coletti had a quiet race to seventh place, while the final point and pole for Sunday's race went to Mika Maki.

The Finn dropped from sixth to eighth at the start, and he was kept on his toes in the closing stages by Esteban Gutierrez, who was occasionally able to get close enough to apply some pressure to the Finn.
