Kerr quickest in practice on home soil
Robbie Kerr got his home A1GP weekend off to the perfect start by setting fastest time in the first proper free practice session for the final round of the series at Brands Hatch
In a session that was stopped twice, the Team GBR driver set a 1:14.891 best in the final moments of the hour, eclipsing that of China's Congfu Cheng - who was running in a new Zytek engine.
Team USA's Jonathan Summerton was third quickest ahead of championship leaders Switzerland, with Neel Jani at the wheel.
Mexico race-winner Adam Carroll was fifth fastest for Team Ireland, with India's Narain Karthikeyan sixth.
The two red flags were caused by Indonesia, when Satrio Hermanto went off at Paddock, and Czech Repbublic's Filip Salaquarda, who also went off the track.
