Gronholm extends lead in Turkey
Marcus Gronholm maintained his comfortable lead during the second leg of the weather-affected Rally Turkey
Like this morning, yet another stage was cancelled due to conditions, as SS4 didn't go ahead. SS5 was shortened significantly, but improving conditions meant that SS6 was run in full.
Gronholm was quickest on both stages, but he was unable to repeat the dominant performance that he showed during the only competitive stage on leg one.
The Finn has extended his lead over Petter Solberg from 24 seconds to 37 though, with teammate Mikko Hirvonen moving up to third.
While at this early stage of the rally Ford are looking good to score a significant amount of manufacturers' points, Colin McRae is fourth for Citroen, 47 seconds behind the leader.
As conditions have improved the Scot has started to struggle because he chose mud tyres, which started to lose chunks of tread on SS5.
Henning Solberg and Kosti Katajamaki have continued to build on their strong start to the rally and are in the top six, while Xevi Pons and Dani Sordo are also in the points, growing in confidence as conditions become less treacherous.
