Conway gets Silverstone pole 1

Mike Conway has set up a perfect opportunity to seal the British Formula Three Championship title tomorrow. The British driver has taken pole position for the first race at Silverstone

Conway was in one of those unbeatable moods today (Saturday), and title rival Oliver Jarvis (Carlin Motorsport) had to settle for second place after three poles in a row.

Conway can comfortably take the title even if he finishes behind Jarvis in the race. The start will probably be the only dangerous moment for Conway.

Conway's Double R teammate Bruno Senna took third spot on the grid, ahead of third Double R driver Stephen Jelley.

As usual, Yelmer Buurman (Fortec Motorsport) is the only non Double R/Carlin driver at the sharp end of the grid. He starts in front of Carlin's Christian Bakkerud.

Cristiano Morgado was fastest National Class driver, but the in-form South African Lola is unlikely to stop Rodolfo Gonzalez, who starts second, from taking the class championship in race one.
