Video: How F1's best and worst cars of 1994 shared the same DNA

The 1994 Benetton is remembered for helping Michael Schumacher to his first Formula 1 title, but it also shared DNA with what was regularly the worst car on the grid.

That was because the Benetton B194 and Pacific's PR01 were both based on the initial design for Reynard's aborted attempt to make the F1 grid in 1992.

When Reynard's bid failed, Rory Byrne and Pat Symonds took the design to Benetton - with the vastly different levels of success between the two teams two years later showing the intricacies of F1's development race.
