Esteban Gutierrez has been cleared to drive in IndyCar's Toronto race for Dale Coyne Racing, after he was reassessed on Sunday morning following his qualifying crash.
Gutierrez had collided with the concrete outside wall on the final corner of the Toronto street course on Saturday and experienced "concussion-like symptoms".
Gutierrez was then cleared to drive on Sunday morning prior to the warm up session and he will drive Dale Coyne's spare tub that was prepared for James Davison in this year's Indianapolis 500.
Mercedes DTM driver Robert Wickens was on standby for Dale Coyne, with the Canadian having taken part in practice at Road America last month for Schmidt Peterson Motorsports when Mikhail Aleshin was sidelined by visa issues.
