Rookie Jack Harvey first to crash in 2017 Indianapolis 500 practice
British IndyCar rookie Jack Harvey had the first crash of 2017 Indianapolis 500 practice just after the halfway point of Monday's main session
Harvey, making his IndyCar debut at the 500 in an Andretti Autosport Dallara-Honda run in collaboration with Michael Shank Racing, understeered into the Turn 2 wall as he turned in just after 4pm local time.

The car made contact with the wall with both the right front and right rear wheels.
Harvey exited the car without assistance, and was swiftly checked and cleared to drive again.
Tony Kanaan was the pacesetter in the first two hours of full-field running, doing a lap at 223.936mph just three laps into his day in his Ganassi Dallara-Honda.
The only driver to join him in the 223mph bracket was owner/driver Ed Carpenter, who set a 223.441mph lap.
Kanaan's teammate Max Chilton set an impressive 222.836 to narrowly eclipse Takuma Sato in the fastest of the Andretti Autosport cars, and Will Power in the fastest Team Penske Dallara-Chevrolet.
After leading the initial two hours of 'rookie and refresher' running, Fernando Alonso waited until just after the halfway point of the second session before returning to the track.
