Formula 3 European Championship returns to Britain for 2017
The Formula 3 European Championship will return to Great Britain in 2017 after a one-year absence
A 10-event championship was confirmed by the FIA World Motorsport Council in Vienna on Wednesday.
The season opener is listed as being in Great Britain, after the nation missed out on a round in 2016, albeit without a track or date.
Silverstone hosted the first round in 2014 and '15, alongside the World Endurance Championship.
Next year's WEC season opener will also be held at Silverstone, on April 14-16, and looms as the most-likely fit for the F3 calendar.
Monza also returns to the schedule following a one-year absence, but the date for it to host the second round of the season is also yet to be finalised.
That April date looks set to be the World Touring Car Championship's Monza return.
Paul Ricard and Imola have been dropped from this year's schedule.
Other than the Pau and Spa events, the rest of the year is likely to tie in with the to-be-announced DTM schedule, with a date yet to be attached to the Red Bull Ring round late in the year.
The Macau Grand Prix on November 19 will continue to act at the FIA Formula 3 World Cup.
