Mid-Ohio Indy Lights: Jack Harvey completes double victory

Jack Harvey completed a clean sweep of this weekend's Indy Lights races at Mid-Ohio with another commanding victory on Sunday

The Brit, who took the first Lights win of his career in Saturday's race, streaked away from pole position, and after struggling for pace early on he recovered to eventually cross the line 12.1 seconds clear of second-placed Zach Veach.

"We struggled for the first 10 laps; I didn't quite have the pace and Zach was pushing me really hard," Harvey said.

"I knew that we would come good and we did, and I was able to establish a gap.

"This weekend really was perfect for us: two poles, two fastest laps and two wins ... you can't really do better than that."

Harvey's result moves him to within 18 points of championship leader Gabby Chaves, who finished a further 6.0s behind Veach in third.

The main excitement in the race came with the help of Harvey's Schmidt team-mate Luiz Razia, who turned in on an unsighted Matthew Brabham when the latter was attempting to pass the Brazilian for second on the opening lap.

The resultant contact put Brabham out of the race on the spot, while Razia lost a lap while being rescued from the grass.

Later on, Zack Meyer was fortunate to continue after landing heavily when his car was bounced into the air during a high-speed trip across the grass.
