Hockenheim GP3: Richie Stanaway tops free practice for Status GP
Silverstone race winner Richie Stanaway maintained his good GP3 form by heading the 45-minute free practice session at Hockenheim on Friday evening
Status Grand Prix racer Stanaway jumped to the top of the times with five minutes remaining, lapping the German GP venue in 1m29.473s.
The Kiwi headed ART's Marvin Kirchhofer by a fifth of a second, with Stanaway's team-mate Nick Yelloly third fastest, 0.256s down on the top time.
Yelloly's fellow Briton Dino Zamparelli was fourth fastest for ART, ahead of Patrick Kujala and another Briton, Emil Berstorff.
Points leader Alex Lynn was eighth fastest for Carlin, 0.62s off the pace, while title rival Jimmy Eriksson was down in 22nd, 1.506s off Stanaway's time.
