Sebastien Buemi and Nicolas Prost join e.dams Formula E team

Ex-Toro Rosso Formula 1 driver Sebastien Buemi and Nicolas Prost will drive for the Alain Prost and DAMS partnership's e.dams Formula E team in the electric series' debut season

The squad's driver line-up was revealed alongside the announcement that Renault - the championship's engine supplier - will be the team's title sponsor.

Buemi remains involved in F1 as test and reserve driver for Red Bull, and is also part of Toyota's World Endurance Championship driver roster, finishing third in the Le Mans 24 Hours earlier this month.

Prost also races in the WEC with Rebellion Racing's LMP1 project.

Team co-owner Jean-Paul Driot said: "We have recruited two very talented drivers for this exciting new challenge.

"In addition to his driving skills, Nicolas Prost will bring his ability to think outside of the box to the table, as well as his technical background and his ability to analyse the technical aspects of this all-electric formula.

"Sebastien Buemi will bring his reputation and speed, along with the fact that he is extremely popular with the public and motor racing fans."

Buemi is the ninth driver with grand prix experience to secure an FE seat, joining Jarno Trulli, Nick Heidfeld, Bruno Senna, Jaime Alguersuari, Lucas di Grassi, Karun Chandhok, Franck Montagny and Stephane Sarrazin.

It was also announced on Monday that Jarno Trulli's team has signed Auto GP race winner Michela Cerruti to partner the former grand prix driver.
