Andrew Jordan's Eurotech team stronger after 2013 BTCC title win

British Touring Car Championship team boss Mike Jordan believes his Eurotech squad's title success has made it a stronger outfit

Jordan's Honda Civic team ran son Andrew to the 2013 crown, defeating the works Honda and MG squads and their proven champion drivers Gordon Shedden, Matt Neal and Jason Plato.

Mike Jordan admitted that this success had changed Eurotech more than he expected.

"Winning the title has made more of a difference to us as a team than I thought it would," he said.

"We know how to win a championship.

"You don't realise the pressure you've got until you've done it.

"We still want to win just as much, but it's given us such a stable base to start this season."

How the BTCC got its stars back

The BTCC grid features seven champions this year, with the return of series legends Fabrizio Giovanardi and Alain Menu, but Jordan said his son and team will not be overawed.

"It won't make one bit of difference to our approach - it's just another two good guys to beat," said Jordan Sr.

"On qualifying speed Andrew will still be right there."

Eurotech is staying with Civic hatchbacks for Jordan and new team-mate Martin Depper this year, while works team Dynamics switches to the estate Civic Tourer for 2014.
