Lorenzo says he has the momentum going into MotoGP finale
Jorge Lorenzo believes he is the form man heading into MotoGP's 2013 title-decider at Valencia
Yamaha's defending champion picked up a second consecutive victory - and fourth in the last six races - at Motegi, a track he had expected to favour Honda and its rookie points leader Marc Marquez.
While Lorenzo conceded he had hoped to steal more points from Marquez, he says his run of form, coupled with the fact he now has more wins than Marquez, stands him in good stead for the title showdown.
"Let's see what happens in Valencia, but I think we are doing great," Lorenzo said.
"This track probably was the hardest for us to get the victory at but we did it.
"I am also the rider with the most victories, which is important.
"The only bad thing is we only recovered five points to Marc, but we tried our best and the things that we could do we did.
"Until we finish the race and we finish the championship we cannot say the championship is over and we win it or we will lose it - you never know what can happen."
Marquez still leads Lorenzo by 13 points, meaning the Honda rider can clinch the title if he finishes fourth or higher in Spain.
