Robert Kubica, Mads Ostberg on five-man Citroen WRC 2014 shortlist

Citroen team principal Yves Matton has drawn up a five-man shortlist for the seats in his squad's 2014 World Rally Championship line-up

Matton admitted he is still in discussion with current Citroen drivers Mikko Hirvonen, Dani Sordo, Kris Meeke and Robert Kubica, with M-Sport's Mads Ostberg, who he came close to signing last season, also under consideration for a factory DS3 next year.

"Now there are only two rallies to go, so it's normal that I am closer to a decision than when there were three rallies to go, but there is no final decision for the moment," said Matton.

"I hope to make the decision for the first driver before Rally GB, but for sure I will not chose both of them before Rally GB."

Belgian driver Thierry Neuville - who is believed to have reached agreement with Hyundai for the next three years - ruled out a return to Citroen.

"They [Neuville's management] told me they have no interest in the offer," said Matton.

"I will not explain to you what was the nature of the offer, but it seems they are not interested to have negotiations."

Sordo admitted his options were limited for next season after a tough 2013 brightened by his maiden WRC win in Germany.

"I don't have many options - Hyundai is the alternative [to staying at Citroen]," said Sordo, who started his home event this weekend well with the fastest time on Thursday's shakedown.

"For me, to be a professional driver you need many things. I have many things and if this is not [enough], we can do other things."
