Mercedes fears Vettel can win every remaining F1 race in 2013
Sebastian Vettel has the potential to win all the remaining races of the season, reckons the Mercedes team
The Red Bull driver's dominance of the Singapore Grand Prix - which included spells where he was more than two seconds per lap quicker than anyone else - has left his opposition in no doubt about the scale of his advantage.
And Mercedes motorsport boss Toto Wolff says that a Vettel clean sweep of the final six races cannot be ruled out.
When asked if he thought Vettel could reel off wins in the final six grands prix, Wolff said: "Yes, especially with the kind of performance he has shown here.
"He went two seconds per lap faster than he needed. So if they don't have any DNFs, then they can have a clean sweep.
"But if anyone deserves the world championship, it is them."
Wolff says that Mercedes had no chance of beating Vettel to victory in Singapore, even though Nico Rosberg managed to briefly sneak into the lead at the start before running wide at Turn 1.
"A different first corner would not have changed anything, because we would have been beaten up by Sebastian anyway," Wolff said.
"That is the only thing that we can say with guarantee: that we have a deserved winner.
"The performance was absolutely stunning."
