Red Bull motivated by Italian Grand Prix podium jeering
Red Bull insists that jeering fans are a motivating force for the team rather than anything to be worried about
Sebastian Vettel faced more boos - in what has become a recurring theme at races - as he collected his winners' trophy at the Italian Grand Prix.
Red Bull boss Christian Horner insists, however, that the team is not worried by fans' reactions.
He thinks that the negative reception at Monza was more down to beating Ferrari that Vettel being unpopular.
"Anybody racing a Ferrari, and beating a Ferrari, at Monza in Italy is never going to be cheered," said Horner.
"It is inevitable that there was not going to be a big reaction for Seb beating Fernando Alonso in front of the tifosi, that have come to see their car and team.
"I don't think it surprised any of us. If anything, it fuels the motivation certainly of Sebastian to go out there and continue to improve."
Vettel and Red Bull now look set for their fourth consecutive Formula 1 drivers' and constructors' championship double, with only bad luck set to deprive them.
Horner refuses to believe that the title is in the bag though.
"There is still 175 points available, and things can change very quickly," he said.
"The championship is not yours until nobody can score more points than you.
"So we are going to continue the approach we have always taken, which is focus on one race at a time and try to get the best out of each weekend.
"It has been a big weekend for us. To score 40 points, a 1-3, for Sebastian to extend his lead in the drivers' championship, and for the team to extend its lead in the constructors' championship, is obviously massively positive for us.
"But there is still some way to go."
