Ypres ERC: Freddy Loix on course for eighth victory
Freddy Loix is on course for a record-extending eighth Ypres Rally going into the Belgian event's final evening stages
The European Rally Championship returnee's works Skoda was untroubled through the first half of Saturday's marathon 14-stage leg and maintains a lead of 1m34.7s.
Craig Breen had been keeping Loix within range until a driveshaft breakage on Friday night.
That put him down to fourth, but he swiftly reclaimed third from Hayden Paddon.
Hunting down Bryan Bouffier for second has not proved so simply.
After Breen initially carved into his fellow Peugeot driver's advantage, Boullier began to inch away again, bringing the gap back up to half a minute.
Paddon crashed out of fourth at high speed on SS14. He was unhurt.
