WTCC Moscow: Yvan Muller sets testing pace
Yvan Muller set the pace in testing as the World Touring Car Championship competitors took to Moscow Raceway for the first time
The championship leader's benchmark 1m43.598s time came on his final lap on a track that began damp and dried continually throughout the 30 minutes.
Muller's RML Chevrolet was just 0.158s faster than the ROAL BMW of Tom Coronel, the Dutchman also setting his best time on his final tour, having spun on his first lap of the session at Turn 15.
The best times dropped from the 1m45s down into the 1m43s in the final 10 minutes with Honda's Gabriele Tarquini third, Proteam BMW driver Mehdi Bennani fourth and world champion Rob Huff rounding out the top five in the best of the Munnich Motorsport SEATs.
