Marinescu fastest at damp Brands Hatch in opening F2 practice
Mihai Marinescu was fastest on a drying track in the opening Formula 2 practice session at Brands Hatch
The Romanian beat top home driver Hector Hurst by 0.340 seconds with a 1m15.875s lap in the closing minutes, by which time the track was dry enough for slicks.
Matheo Tuscher was third, just 0.006s behind Hurst. Christopher Zanella and recent series arrival Axcil Jefferies completed the top five.
The session was interrupted by two red flags, the first when Markus Pommer's car stopped on track, the second when David Zhu spun at Paddock with five minutes to go.
